Midwest Offset model aviation snips are the 'Sheetmetal Tradesman's choice' because they are truly the easiest models to use in a variety of sheetmetal cutting applications. The offset blade pattern flows material away from the blades. This allows the snip to move forward without interference when making cuts through long sheets. It also allows the snip to cut tighter curves than other blade pattern models. The left and right models cut the tightest curves. They are faster to use are our blades cut "pinch-thru-point" completely to end of the blade, which reduces cutting strokes and enables complete and accurate trim cuts. Requires less hand force & stays in adjusment as the blade pivot bolt is threaded into the bottom blade. The latch is used to keep the blade safely closed when not used. As our blades our drop forged, made out of molybdenum steel and heat treateed, they have a long lasting cutting edge. The drop-forging process uses grain structure of the teel to produce maxiumun stregnth. Blades are serrated 40 serrations per inch to grip material without scarring. The high tensile strenght steel handle will not bend from hand pressure and provides the most efficient conversion of hand force to cutting power. Whilst the comfortable thick textured Santoprene grips comfort the user hand and prevent steel handles from wearing through.
